To help students prepare and navigate professional interactions with hiring firms, the SCUAA organized a free pre-event networking workshop for all students interested in attending the career fair.  This workshop, as well as quarterly SCUAA meetings where firms are invited to speak on industry topics and career preparation, likely contributed to firms reporting that students were well prepared for the event.

Following a suggestion from the Accounting Advisory Board, the SCUAA also created a Passport booklet for the career fair to encourage students to engage with all of the firms in attendance. In the “passport” system developed by the SCUAA, students who met with professionals from a variety of different career categories were eligible to enter a raffle. This is the third SCUAA event that used a passport system, and it was well received by both the firms and students.  About 60 percent of the students at the career fair conversed with at least 50% of the firms in attendance, qualifying them to submit their passports for a raffle drawing.  Sima Khesin (Accounting, class of 2026) was the happy winner of the Apple AirPods Pro prize.
